Rainwater is one of the most valuable natural resources available to us. With increasing water demand and the need for sustainable water management, a properly designed rainwater harvesting system can help reduce dependence on groundwater and other water sources.
Sana Ventures offers WISY rainwater harvesting products, including the WISY WFF 100 Vortex Fine Filter, designed to effectively filter rainwater collected from rooftops before it enters the rainwater storage tank.
What is the WISY WFF 100?
The WISY WFF 100 Vortex Fine Filter is a high-quality rainwater filter designed for installation in the rainwater pipeline between the roof drainage system and the storage tank.
Rainwater collected from rooftops can contain:
- Leaves
- Dust
- Sand
- Small debris
- Insects
- Organic particles
The WFF 100 separates these unwanted materials before the collected rainwater reaches the storage tank.
The result is cleaner rainwater, reduced sediment inside the tank and easier maintenance of the complete rainwater harvesting system.
How Does the WISY WFF 100 Work?
Rainwater from the rooftop enters the WFF 100 filter through the inlet pipe.
Inside the filter, the specially designed stainless-steel filter insert separates the rainwater from dirt and debris.
Filtered rainwater is directed towards the rainwater storage tank, while dirt and a small quantity of rinsing water are discharged towards the drainage or soakaway system.
This continuous filtration principle allows the system to operate automatically whenever it rains.
Key Features of WISY WFF 100
Stainless-Steel Fine Filter
The WFF 100 uses a durable stainless-steel filter insert. Filter mesh options include approximately 0.28 mm and 0.44 mm, depending on the selected version.
Self-Cleaning Filtration Principle
The vortex filtration design continuously carries separated dirt towards the drain, helping reduce the amount of manual cleaning required.
Suitable for Rooftop Rainwater Harvesting
WISY recommends the WFF 100 for roof areas of up to approximately 200 m², although the actual suitable roof area depends on rainfall intensity, pipe gradient and system design.
Underground or Above-Ground Installation
The WFF 100 can be installed in horizontal rainwater pipelines either underground or in suitable above-ground applications.
Optional Extension Tube
An optional extension tube can be used where the inspection opening needs to be brought closer to ground level.
Durable Construction
The filter housing is manufactured from polypropylene, while the fine filter insert is made from stainless steel for long service life.
